This Sunday ended the participation of the Colombian track team in the second stop of the UCI Nations Cup, in Milton, which took place at the velodrome of the Mattamy National Cycling Center, with a final balance of one gold and two bronzes, in the four days of competition.

Kevin Santiago Quintero was in charge of getting the gold medal in the keirin, which took place on Saturday, and in which the Colombian track player dominated with authority the first two rounds of the event in their respective heats.

Quintero revalidated his good moment in the final, in which he finished in second place, behind the British Jack Carlin, Olympic and world medalist in speed tests, who was ultimately relegated due to an abandonment of the speed rope, which which allowed the Colombian to climb to the first place on the podium to receive the gold medal.

For their part, the two bronze medals came on Friday, in the kilometer test, with Santiago Ramírez, and in the Sprint, with Martha Bayona, who demonstrated the great work that has been done on the track.

The Colombian track team, led by John Jaime González, returns to the country to prepare for its participation in the third round of the Nations Cup, which will be held from July 7 to 10 at the Alcides Nieto Patiño velodrome in Cali.
